SPbU Student Teams

Behind the term "teams" are associations of students who are passionate about a common cause. For instance, members of pedagogical teams work as camp counselors in children's camps during summer holidays, while the archaeological team works on excavations.
Pedagogical teams:
The Council represents students' interests when discussing vital issues such as quality of education, the arrangement of study buildings and halls of residence, catering, organization of extracurricular events, and much more. Details can be found on the website.
The Student Council
You can make a personal contribution to volunteer and charity campaigns and become a volunteer for both university and nationwide projects. Volunteers assist veterans and university students; work with dog shelters and rehabilitation centers.
Areas:
Details can be found on the University website and on the VKontakte page.
Public transportation
BSK is a student’s contactless smart card. It allows you to use any city public transportation: subway, bus, tram, and trolleybus.

The BSK provides 100 subway rides, unlimited travel on city buses, trolleys, and trams. The BSK does not apply to commercial transport routes and does not give the right to use taxis.
You can apply for a free pass in case of loss of the breadwinner or for students from large families. For this, you need to go to room 111 of the Rector's Wing within the first three weeks of September.
What are the advantages?
At BSK issuing points.

While your BSK is being prepared, we recommend getting a temporary "Course" pass at any subway cashier. Once the student pass is ready, you can get a refund for the "Course" at any subway station cashier within 45 days from the date of purchase. The card manufacturing period is 10 days.

Accessible Environment
The inclusive education of students with disabilities, the content of education, and the organization of learning and education are determined by an adapted programme.
  • If necessary, individual study plans and individual learning schedules can be developed for students with disabilities, taking into account the specific features and educational needs of a specific student: the term for obtaining higher education can be extended, and various options for holding classes can be provided.

  • To support the educational process at SPbU, electronic learning technologies, network and distance learning systems are used, for example, Blackboard. The system allows conducting types of classes such as lectures (provided in the recording), webinars, individual consultations, testing, etc. in a remote mode.

  • A special procedure for mastering the discipline "physical culture and sports" has been established: classes for persons with weak health and for persons exempted from practical classes are conducted using a special methodology. Physical education and sports classes for the mentioned categories of persons are conducted in the following types: aerobics (fitball, stretching, fitness), oriental martial arts (wushu), cross-country skiing, athletics (health walking and running), swimming, Nordic walking, tourism (pedestrian), according to special programmes in the direction "Health Systems", general physical training (GPT), checkers and chess.
Accommodation for students with motor disabilities:
  • Hall of residence № 1 — block for a disabled person in a wheelchair. The entrance to the building is equipped with a ramp

  • Hall of residence № 6 — a living block on the first floor for three with a kitchen and a bathroom. The entrance to the building is equipped with a ramp

  • Hall of residence № 8 — two two-bed residential blocks on the first floor. The entrance to the building is equipped with an electric lift
